Get to know Assemblies of God Lentsweletau
Welcome to AOG Lentsweletau
Assemblies of God Lentsweletau is a vibrant, Spirit-filled community of believers in the heart of Lentsweletau Village, Kweneng District, Botswana. Our village name means “Rock of the Lion” in Setswana, and we stand firm on the Rock of our faith — Jesus Christ.
We are part of the Assemblies of God family in Botswana and around the world. Our church is committed to worship, discipleship, fellowship and reaching our community with the love of Christ.
Our Pastor
Our pastor leads our congregation with dedication and a heart for God's people. Under their guidance, our church continues to grow in faith and service to the community of Lentsweletau.
What We Believe
As part of the Assemblies of God, we hold to the 16 Fundamental Truths of the Bible. At the heart of our faith are four cardinal doctrines:
Salvation
Salvation through faith in Jesus Christ — the only way to be reconciled with God. By grace through faith, not by works, so that no one may boast.
Baptism in the Holy Spirit
The baptism in the Holy Spirit with the initial physical evidence of speaking in other tongues, empowering believers for witness and service.
Divine Healing
Divine healing is provided for in the atonement and is the privilege of all believers. Jesus bore our sicknesses and carried our diseases.
Second Coming of Christ
The blessed hope — the soon coming return of our Lord Jesus Christ to gather His people and establish His kingdom.
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons — Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe in water baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper as ordinances of the Church.

Our Ministries
Sunday Worship
Our main gathering for praise, worship and the Word of God. Every Sunday at 10:00 AM.
Midweek Bible Study
Deeper study of God's Word every Wednesday at 6:00 PM.
Church Choir
Our choir leads us in worship with joyful voices, singing in Setswana and English.
Youth Ministry
Empowering the next generation with faith and purpose. Youth service every Friday at 5:00 PM.
Women's Ministry
Building up women in faith, fellowship and service to God and community.
Community Outreach
Serving our village and surrounding communities through practical love and the Gospel.
